What changed in this release
- New Reports tool: generate Excel reports using Autodesk Report Creator and your project’s existing templates. Choose the whole project, the current drawing, or selected P&ID and 3D drawings.
- Report history and change tracking: compare a report with the previous compatible run and review added, removed and changed rows with previous and current values. Search and filter results, reopen earlier comparisons, and export an Excel change report. Microsoft Excel is not required for comparison.
- Flexible report storage: choose project-related, personal or shared report folders. Progress and cancellation are supported, without a fixed three-minute generation limit.
- Weld Manager improvements (beta): configure weld classes, shared or separate numbering series, and starting numbers per pipeline. New numbers use positive integers without prefixes or leading zeroes.
- Preview and check weld numbers: review proposed values before renumbering from a selected point along the pipe network. Fill empty numbers on the selected pipeline and check for duplicates, including equivalent values such as 001 and 1. Numbering applies to the active drawing.
- Optional automatic weld numbering: number new, empty welds after modelling commands, including retained pipe segments when routing ends with Esc. Existing numbers are preserved. Delayed Plant data links receive limited retries; the option is off by default.
- Simpler ACC/browser connection: the authenticated local connection now runs inside RKCadTools, with a pairing key in Settings. The separate BrowserBridge executable and Native Messaging registration are no longer needed. Navigate from the Chrome/Brave extension to matching P&ID or 3D components.
- Interactive HTML navigation: save a project-specific HTML address in Settings and find selected P&ID or 3D components in it. Drawing navigation handles relocated project folders more reliably.
- P&ID Palette Builder improvements: live preview while editing, better window resizing, clearer drag-and-drop feedback, and more accurate drop positioning.
- Script Studio / Component Builder improvements: expanded component references and validation for AI-generated scripts and sizes. Combine a component family’s sizes into one parametric script and an Excel table for Spec Editor.
- Quick Properties and tag assignment: Quick Properties again uses Plant’s Visible in Object View fields by default while preserving custom selections. Assign Tag Extended (beta) verifies saved values and the resulting Plant tag, with clearer feedback when assignment cannot be resolved.
- Revision Manager improvements: start an empty revision history with a chosen code, such as B or 2, and continue the sequence automatically.
- More reliable plain AutoCAD DWG export: export waits for modified drawings to finish saving and reports the relevant step if saving or export fails.
- Updated ribbon and dialogs: reorganised tool groups, larger primary buttons and clearer layouts across Reports, Data Bridge, revisions, palettes, weld tools and Settings.
Supports AutoCAD Plant 3D 2024–2027 on Windows x64. Close Plant 3D before installation and restart afterwards. Update/reload the browser extension and pair it with the new connection. Weld Manager remains beta.
