1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you or the organisation you represent and RKCadTools. By starting a trial, creating an account, buying a subscription, or using RKCadTools, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.

2. The product

RKCadTools is a Windows software plugin providing productivity tools for supported versions of Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D. Autodesk software and a valid Autodesk licence are not included. RKCadTools is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk.

System requirements, supported versions, included features, documentation, and pricing are described on this website. We may improve or change features over time, provided that the subscription’s overall core function is not materially reduced during a paid period.

3. Trial

The free trial lasts 14 days, does not require payment details, and does not convert into a paid subscription automatically. It is intended for evaluation on one computer. Trial availability may be limited to one trial per customer, organisation, or device.

4. Subscription, price, and renewal

Paid access is sold as an annual per-seat subscription. The product page displays the current price excluding VAT; checkout shows the final price, currency, applicable taxes, and renewal terms before payment. Unless cancelled, an annual subscription renews for another annual billing period at the price communicated before renewal.

You can cancel through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access normally continues until that date. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.

5. Payment through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. If there is a conflict about payment processing, taxes, billing, or refunds handled by Paddle, Paddle’s applicable terms govern that part of the transaction.

6. Licence grant and seats

During an active trial or paid subscription, RKCadTools grants the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software for its internal business purposes. Each purchased seat permits activation on one computer at a time. An authorised company administrator may release a computer and reassign the seat when a workstation or user changes.

You must not share access outside your organisation, resell or redistribute the software, provide it as a hosted service, remove ownership notices, bypass licence controls, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction.

7. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping account credentials and activation codes secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not use the product or website unlawfully, interfere with their security or operation, or attempt to obtain access to another customer’s data or account.

8. Updates and support

An active subscription includes updates and reasonable support for supported product versions. Support does not include Autodesk support, custom development, project engineering, or correction of third-party software or project-data defects. We may require diagnostic information reasonably necessary to investigate a problem.

9. Customer responsibility

Plant 3D projects can contain business-critical engineering data. Keep appropriate backups, test RKCadTools on a copy of a project before production use, review changes before accepting them, and maintain suitable access controls. RKCadTools assists workflows but does not replace professional engineering judgement, design review, or safety validation.

10. Intellectual property

RKCadTools and its software, documentation, design, and branding remain the property of RKCadTools and its licensors. The licence grants permission to use the product; it does not transfer ownership. You retain ownership of your project data and other content.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data for accounts, licensing, payments, downloads, support, and website operation. Our Cookie Policy describes cookies and optional website statistics.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access where payment is overdue, use creates a security risk, or there is a material breach of these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. When the trial or subscription ends, the licence to use RKCadTools ends, except for provisions that by their nature continue.

13. Warranties and liability

We will provide the product with reasonable care and skill. Software may nevertheless contain errors or be interrupted, and compatibility can be affected by Autodesk or operating-system changes. To the extent permitted by law, RKCadTools is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury where applicable.

14. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Danish law. Courts in Denmark have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to a consumer under applicable law. We may update these terms for legal, security, or product reasons. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated before they take effect.
